Welcome to the

Seniors School of Computers

We all learned that Computers are all around us and there is no more world without them. You will be amazed when you tackle your computer for answers. They play a significant part in our lives. They bring enthusiasm into a majority of people, and you will develop gradually as you search for your creative abilities.

Many feel they are too old to learn how to use a computer or they are simply afraid of it but this may not be.

My job is to help you achieve the use of computer and help you tackle tasks that suit your lifestyle. A determination to offer ones best can be important and you will find you have more talent than you give yourself credit for.

Being older doesn’t have to interfere with your ability to use a computer. Computers can be easily customized to meet your needs and our computer lessons are based on those principles.

If you rack up enough birthdays, sooner or later you're going to experience some loss of vision, hearing, or physical dexterity. It's as inevitable as puberty. Fortunately, accessibility settings and programs in Windows Vista and Windows XP make it easy to resolve most age-related computing problems without additional software or devices.

Either way, getting older doesn't have to interfere with your ability to use a computer  If PCs can be easily customized to meet the needs of people with severe disabilities such as blindness, deafness, and quadriplegia, they can certainly handle diminished vision, muffled hearing, and stiff fingers. Accessibility features also make it easier to cope with temporary injuries, such as a broken arm, or to manage routine inconveniences such as blurred vision following an eye exam.

What you will gain:

1.      A new awakening

2.      Communication by a divines influence

3.      Exercises of the brain keeping it active

4.      Intellectual power and the inclination and desire

5.      Improves your memory and the ability to focus

6.      Help you be more observant and understanding becomes easier

Accessible technology helps seniors retain high productivity. Many of us have vision, hearing or dexterity impairments that will impact our use of computer. The good news is that there are easy ways to adjust your computer. Many features are built into the computer

I hope you will enjoy your stay

Computer Lessons 1 & 2

 Basic Computer for Absolute Beginners

Lessons one & two

Computers are all around us; there is no more world without them.

You will be amazed when you first tackle your computer for answers.  They play a significant part in our lives.

Computers bring enthusiasm into a majority of people, and you will develop gradually as you search for your creative abilities.

Internet sites tend to move round the web, so it is wise to go to your Internet browser and find specific web sites or the type of information you require.

Computers are a challenge to the Human intelligence.

The application of computer science is to make machines imitate what people do, by programming their behavior.

You become the teacher and the computer; the student.  Your job is to teach your computer to do the thinking for you. It is at work in many walks of life and it is still growing.  You program your computer to examine every aspect of your process.

The computer in return asks you questions such as bringing messages to you on screen based on the information data you entered. Project start with some very detailed analyses of your query and propose solutions. This kind of process is known as MODELING they are complex, mathematical equations that define how a process works.

The successful factors are -creativity –enthusiasm –dedication and a strong will and determination.  I include by quoting “you fall back only when you seek to justify.

THE ACCESSIBILITY WIZARD

Two-thirds of us have vision, hearing, or dexterity impairments that will impact our use of the computer.

The Accessibility wizard guides you through the process of customizing your computer with tools designed to help meet your vision, hearing, or mobility needs.

Accessibility options help users with disabilities to make full use of the computer. Some of the options, such as MouseKeys, may be of interest to all users. Once the Accessibility tools are set up, they can be accessed through Control Panel and the Accessibility menu.
